Ashdown Superfly

Hi

Can anyone recommend a suitable pedal for use with the Ashdown Superfly to work through the presets?

Appreciated.

I understand you can use any MIDI-compatible pedal with this - guess its down to what type you prefer! Sorry, I cant make any recommednation - I used to own this head but didnt use that facility.

[/quote]+1. I've never wanted for the lack of a pedal, it's not all that difficult to scroll through presets between songs.

Looking for a simple / basic pedal to scroll through the presets, when I search for midi compatable pedal I'm swamped with everything from £40 - £400.

I have the ART X-11 Midi foot controller. I dont use it anymore, as i've moved from the Nightbass to a BP8, so i'd be happy to sell it on if you're interested

May be a naive answer but sounds like those nearer £40 end would suffice.

Not sure what would work, or, seeing as MIDI is a cross-platform protocol 'anything' would work....anyway, I'm looking for a similar device

I never got round to using it with the Superfly or the Superduperfly. Can't remember whether the Superfly will phantom-power it - if not, IIRC it uses a typical 9V effects pedal power supply.

Personally I'm looking for something a little simpler with a much smaller footprint.

Android phone with OTG support and the MIDI Commander app, OTG to USB adaptor cable, USB cable to a M-Audio Midisport 2x2.

Tech 21 MIDI Mouse if you can find one at a sensible price. Small and delightfully simple.

Thanks for the input, I have an andorid device so will defo check that one out, thanks 'tauzero'. I've seen the Tech 21 MIDI mouse too....not at a price that suits my budget tho' ;-)....cheers 'Rich'

Thinking further on it, does the Superfly take MIDI through the USB port? It's so long since I had mine that I've forgotten. It's a standard USB as you would find on a printer and the like. Sadly, only the MIDI port supports MIDI commands...according to the manual.

Ah, the memory of that USB port is starting to come back to me - didn't seem to be a proper USB implementation, I was never able to make it work through a hub (may have been a rubbish hub, if course).
