RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Now that the pic issues are sorted, I managed to advertise my bass for sale in the usual forum. However, when I look at progress I have trouble finding it. I won't mention which bass it is, but I bumped it this morning and still can't see it. Any ideas? andydye Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Quite often when I start a thread it doesn't show up for me until the next day, I think the 'list making machine' gets overwhelmed by the amount of traffic on here maybe? discreet Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 The 'View New Content' button hasn't worked for me for some time, so I don't rely on it any more. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
molan Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 I sometimes get this - New Content works perfectly for everything except stuff I've posted myself Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
woodyratm Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 Isn't new content for...well new content? And if you've posted an ad, you've read it? Any updates to the thread then would appear in New content. I thought? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
andydye Posted December 18, 2012 Share Posted December 18, 2012 So, in new content you can choose: By time period

[searchInKey]=&period=unread&userMode=&followedItemsOnly=0"]Content I have not read
[searchInKey]=&period=lastvisit&userMode=&followedItemsOnly=0"]New since my last visit
If you've got it set to 'stuff I've not read' it won't show your posts cost you've read them, if it's set to 'new since my last visit' it should show them... When I post anything, the thread goes to the top of the list as the newest, but it's marked as though I've already read it...which I have. I've always assumed this was as intended, and makes perfect sense to me. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
