Can't see my bass for sale when I view new content

Now that the pic issues are sorted, I managed to advertise my bass for sale in the usual forum.
However, when I look at progress I have trouble finding it.
I won't mention which bass it is, but I bumped it this morning and still can't see it.

Any ideas?

I can see a rare steinberger something or other in basses for sale, it's still on the first page but nearing the bottom already...?

Quite often when I start a thread it doesn't show up for me until the next day, I think the 'list making machine' gets overwhelmed by the amount of traffic on here maybe?

The 'View New Content' button hasn't worked for me for some time, so I don't rely on it any more.

I sometimes get this - New Content works perfectly for everything except stuff I've posted myself

Isn't new content for...well new content? And if you've posted an ad, you've read it? Any updates to the thread then would appear in New content.

If you've got it set to 'stuff I've not read' it won't show your posts cost you've read them, if it's set to 'new since my last visit' it should show them...

I thought too!

When I post anything, the thread goes to the top of the list as the newest, but it's marked as though I've already read it...which I have.

I've always assumed this was as intended, and makes perfect sense to me.
