I like them because they are short scale. The Jet II is also worth looking at.

Got one to use in our practice room, which is tiny! Absolutely brilliant for the price, can't fault it. I have no idea what it would sound like in a gigging situation, but in the practice room its really good. Well made too, and looks cool. Pocket money price.

Some of these 'fun' basses actually have a useful gigging voice, so worth a try, especially if you can hear what it sounds like alongside other instruments,

I have one. Good value for the money. I have had some problems with E-string not playing very well, but now with GHS boomers it's OK. It sure looks great and the volume knob is excellent - very intuitive and good responsibility all the way from 0 to 10!
