Can't get enough of your love - bad company.

More so during the corus than the verse.

Boz Burrel hated this bassline. In the early days of Bad Company he was no Andy Fraser (from free) and it is a bit 'clunky'. Maybe it's also because,as the years went by, he became a really excellent 'funk jazzer' and a much better all round bassist.

How come no-one has mentioned this classic walking bass line?

Pack My Jack by JJ Cale.

Not exactly 'poppy' but a personal favourite and a great walking bassline to play over.

Track starts at 7:50 . . .

Prob too jazzy for the OP, but as soon as I hear the words 'walking bassline' this gem springs to mind:

This is known as nominative determinism, all your songs should be chrismuzz songs :)

I should keep a tally of how many festive jokes I've had about my name over the last 10 years

When I was about 13 and knew that Slade were the absolute bollox; the first non-Slade LP I ever bought was Bowie's "Aladdin Sane" ....... step forward the much under-rated Trevor Bolder. For some reason this track was the first one I listened to off the album & I was hooked!

Bonus for a Slade fan was that at the time he was also using an EB3.

Nobody's mentioned 'Moondance yet'?

'Lovecats' by the Cure has a nice little walking interlude - well, more 'stretching your legs' than walking, but it works perfectly.

Rock this town stray cats - Lee Rocker awesome

T-r-o-u-b-l-e old Elvis song but Travis Tritt does an awesome version with some nice bits

Sweet Home Chicago from the Blues Brothers, the late Mr Dunn in excellent form.

I'll even fling in The Timewarp from the lovely, and totally bonkers, Mr O'Brien for some Transylvanian Transgendered TransString Travelling

I'm not sure I would refer to some of the examples as "walking" bass lines. Maybe that's just the subjectiveness of music though.

Spencer Davis Group's Blues in F is certainly walking. Perhaps more jazzy blues than pop though.

The OP mentions that they are already aware of the Beatles' walking basslines :-)

How about some ska?

Don't know whether it qualifies, but we do Oliver's Army, and I was pleasantly surprised by the bassline! Well written IMHO and perfect for the song.
