AnalogBomb Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 So I've agreed to go try out Spector Performer 4 on Friday from a lad that's selling one near me. Just wondered, having never owned or played a Spector - what can I expect? It's priced at £150 which seems to be pretty good value I thought..... It's also loaded with a set of EMG's so I'm pretty looking forward to it! Just wondered if anybody has ever played/owned/tried one? Cheers Quote
Mudpup Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Had a Spector Performer DLX and it was a great sounding budget bass. Had EMG SSD pickups wich i thought were nice and punchy and the neck was nice. Only sold it because i bought a couple of more expensive Spectors but it got me started with the brand. Quote
Jambo10 Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Any Spector I have played/owned has been fantastic. And my Legend is my *go to* bass every time. Quote
AnalogBomb Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Cheers guys! I'll let you know what I think, but I'm pretty excited! Quote
Mog Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 For 150 notes you'll be hard pressed to find a better bass. They're extremely versatile and the playability is top class for what would be classed as a budget model. Prepare yourself for Spector GAS. Quote
lurksalot Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I have a Legend 4 and a Euro 4 on order , I have yet to hear anyone find any real fault with Spector stuff Quote
AnalogBomb Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Cheers Mog, I'll certainly be prepared. Proper buzzing about this now...... Just gotta explain it to the wife..... Quote
