Mono GS1 Strap Size

After a lengthy gig last night, I've decided to upgrade my leather Gibson strap.

It's just the basic unpadded leather variety - solid, narrow, and not forgiving...never really thought about changing until my shoulder has recently started to crack fairly often! Should have done this years ago.

Just finished a check on BC, and looks like the strap field has moved on a lot - they look like machine gun belts or something Rambo would be proud of!

Quite taken with the good views of the Mono GS1 - but looking for advice on the size. Just measured my current strap and I'm wearing it at 48cm....which I assume would be a large mono at the shortest setting?

Only ask as I'm on the cusp of a long strap short, or a short strap at the longest....if that makes any sense?

Buying blind off the net, so I'm thinking that the large would be the size to go for?

Will order once I find out ASAP!

Mark provides the details here. Only linked it because I've been looking myself for a non-leather alternative that goes below 43". Only worry is that the GS1 is only 3 1/4" wide, whereas I'm used to a Neotech Neoprene strap that is 4" wide.

Received mine yesterday and wow, what a lovely strap. Feels unbreakable and although I'm used to a 4" width, the near 3" width feels perfect with my 5 string (and fairly lightweight) Ibanez. The reduced length was the main reason for the purchase though and I couldn't be happier.

It also looks wicked. :)
