AussieBassman
Well, the gig bag that came with my Trace Elliot AH200 about 17 years ago has finally gone to gig-bag-heaven, so I need a replacement. Has anyone else found a suitable alternative that I could buy off-the-shelf?
mep
Mine was well past it when I bought it years ago. My advice would be to get some rack ears and put it in a 2U flightcase.
AussieBassman
I thought of that but the downside of course is that it seriously increases the bulk and so the amount of weight my poor back has to cope with!
mep
I know what you mean. I have mine in a 3u flightcase along wit a TE uv light unit. It looks the biz but weighs a load more. On the plus side if safer to transport. You could always find someone hand with a sewing machine?
Delberthot
I'm using a Gator GK-2110 bag designed for a Microkorg for my Gallien Krueger 1001RB II. Its not a light amp but its a strong bag. They do loads of different versions, I have my Boss GT6-B in another one the same size. Two handles and a shoulder strap and an external zippy bit for cables all for £20. I keep my main power lead and speaker lead in the pocket of the amp one and the adaptor for the Boss in its bag. Makes for quicker setting up and stripping down time.
