It is still in the Hartke case, and everything is working - both pre-amp stages, GEQ, Compressor and DI. I was recently recorded at home for a couple of tracks on a newly released CD and my cab was mic'd up and the DI was also used. There was no issues with the DI. This head was my first real purchase of a bass rig and has been used with a Ashdown ABM mini15. There have been no hiccups or any issues with it. I just want to offset the cost of my new BFB Midget coming in January. neepheid Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 You can't go wrong with a 3500. My first "proper" amp was also one of these. I'm a fan of the modern, direct sound these have. Lots of tone shaping options. Dual preamps (leaving aside the fact that I couldn't really tell much between them, the redundancy is a compelling feature in case the valve goes funny ). DI with pre/post and ground lift. Effects loop with wet/dry mix. 350W into 4 ohms was more than enough for me to "bring the noise" when I wasn't going through the PA. Great piece of kit.
