Removing Stickers, how to do it?

What's the best way to get stickers off my bass?

The previous owner had some behringer stickers on the body and I want them off without damaging the finish

If they're plastic you can use a hair-dryer to warm them up as you peel them off - any residue can be cleaned off using white spirit/methylated spirit or similar item. If the stickers are paper you can use a damp sponge to encourage them off and use the same cleaning agents to remove any sticky goo left over..

This is the time-honored, proven product that will take the goo and not disturb the finish or the plastic pickguard/scratchplate:
Goo Gone.

or even probably at a local store that sells home hardware or cleaning supplies.

After removing as much of the sticker with the edge of a fingernail or such that won't harm the finish, then a few drops on a soft cloth will take the rest of the sticker residue off with just a couple of rubs.

I used to use Goo Gone on my (photographic) studio floor for removing the sticky residue left by some Gaffa tape.
Recently I've been using plain old WD40, sprayed on, left for 10 seconds and simply wiped off with a paper towel. Works much better than Goo Gone on a laminate floor, never tried it on a bass. Feeling brave??????

WD40 or lighter fluid and a soft plectrum has worked fine for me in the past.
