Bloody hell, you lot..! How the heck are we supposed to 'choose' between these masterpieces, each and every one..? What criteria should I take to decide that X is 'better' than Y (or Z, or ², or µ...)? I'll have to start a campaign, maybe, clamouring for full recognition of the 'losers' in this comp competition.
I have played each through, thinking as I went that 'Wow, that's a stunner'. On to the next and 'Blewee..!' Yet another, and another, until the apocalyptic bass solo. Be fair, lads, I don't stand a chance of dividing you up.
OK, I'll sleep on it (I'm dog tired, anyway...), and give it another shot tomorrow, perhaps. No promises. Don't be surprised if there are more listens and less votes this time around. I, for one, can't lift any one out of the mire; they're all right up there (in their own, unique, ways, of course...) in the giddy stratospheres.
Damned..! And I was looking forward to applauding the winner, and congratulating the others. Last month was tough enough, but this..! It's so unfair. What to do..? (sounds of wringing hands, gnashing of teeth, tearing of locks...).
I'll have to enter something myself, I think, just so that a real duff track can be put to one side after studious attention. You have been warned...
The toughest comp yet, surely.

Just finished re-listening to them all and voted (accompanied by a festive cheese board and a few glasses of sherry - very civilized!).

Tough call this month. A sincere doff of my cap to fellow comrades who entered. The diversity of tracks is just huge and I found it especially tricky to pick a favourite.

Hope everyone's enjoying the holiday and best wishes for the new year!

I know I am miles to late for this, but for a laugh and just to show how good the others are you can have a listen to this , it might put you off though.

A duff link, I think..? I may regret asking for it to be fixed, though.

Hey Lurks...I've just fixed the link in the above quote. There was a # symbol in there that was messing it up. For everyone else it's here:

Well done for having a crack at it! Certainly better late than never mate. And it's not half as bad as you make out. Welcome aboard :-)

Very worthy, son, and bang on target for being appropriate to the pic. Sorry, but I've already voted, but you're up with the others as far as the spirit of the thing goes. (Well, OK, the others have a slight headstart in technicity, but, given a bit of time...)
It's a better shot than I could turn out right now. I've installed Reaper, at last, but damned if I can get MDrummer to synchronise with it (and I'm a drummer..! :o ).
Can we have a contest for 'Worst of Class', please..? I'd give you all a fair run for your money with that one..! :D

Cheers Dad , your very kind , I wasn't expecting votes but having tried to lash something up for a month I just wanted to include it somewhere near the competition .
I feel your pain with the process though, :gas: I was getting absolutley nowhere for ages , I took all day friday trying to mess with a drum midi and was on the verge of giving up , and thought I would try a drum loop program , and after a bit of fannying a lot of stuff just clicked .
I have even just sussed out how to apply the plug ins , I have know idea what they do , but at least I am at the point where I can get started . and THAT is a miilion miles from where I was even a week ago .

The reaper evaluation says I am on day 42 out of 60 , so it was getting a bit touch and go :o

It's a buzz when it all comes together, innit? :) Took me a good while to get my head around using music software, but you'll find it gets much easier very quickly once you're over the initial hurdle. Then the fun really begins!

PS: you can continue using Reaper after the trial period - it's a very generous set up with no penalities - but I'd personally recommend supporting the developer and purchasing a license: it's great value for money at £50 or so.
