sabian
I won this on ebay a couple of months ago for my studio setup - according to the seller there were some 80 watchers ! It is in excellent condition, boxed with manual. Apart from the preamp feature it is also an excellent DI box, on par with my other DIs costing lot's more. It works great with active basses as well for additional shaping - huuuge bottom end! It cost me £142 and I'd like that back, so £150 PayPal-ed and posted special delivery in UK. For international postage please give me your address and I'll check. It can also be collected with cash payment from Henley RG9. Here is the ebay listing and manufacturer's info: You are bidding on a Sadowsky Pass Preamp/DI. The footswitch is built like a tank. It has been used only a few times and is in immaculate condition. It was bought from new by me from the US and is still in it's original box. This is the same preamp used by Marcus Miller to get his signature slap sound. Also, there is NO RESERVE on this item, so happy bidding. Although the description suggests you use only the Sadowsky AC adaptor, the pedal will work with a suitable adaptor or a 9V battery. Website Description The Sadowsky Outboard Bass Preamp/DI Pedal contains the same famous circuitry built into every Sadowsky bass. Housed in a small footpedal box for use on the floor, it measures just 4.5" x 4.5" x 2.25" and weighs 1.5 pounds. Just plug your bass into the box and then go from the box to your amp, and/or direct to the board. Controls consist of volume, treble boost and bass boost. Footswitches for preamp bypass and a mute switch with a live tuner out. Other features include ground lift switch for the DI and a low battery indicator LED. The Preamp/DI Pedal is perfect for vintage basses where installation of an onboard preamp would affect the instrument's original condition and resale value. The Preamp/DI pedal is recommended for all passive basses, basses with active pickups, and instruments that have active electronics that can be bypassed. It also works great with all upright bass pickups. We offer an AC adaptor for 120V. This is the only adaptor we can guarantee will work without producing any unwanted hum with the Preamp/DI Pedal.
