fender73
Hi all. Off to look at an Ibanez SR500 today, as i'm after something active and more modern sounding that my P-bass and J-Bass for a certain project. I know there is an Ibanez SR thread, but just wondered if people had any comments about the SR500? Thanks Graeme
pikeman
I had one of these and it's a fine instrument. Lightweight with a very fast neck and a vast array of sounds from deep reggae to biting treble. A great bass for the money, I only traded mine as I preferred my Precisions. White Cloud
Great basses. Ergonomic, light, comfortable, user friendly...a thoroughly well thought out design that works on every level. The barts sound fantastic. What else is there? Totally underated for reasons that are probably more to do with headstock name snobbery than anything else. I own the ash bodied 5 string version (sr605) and I regard it as the best value for money bass I have ever owned....and there have been dozens over the last 35 yrs. Highly recomended! Jellyfish
Great basses. I've only tried the 5 string version and it was great, but ended up saving my pennies for a higher end SR. Only bad thing about them (and all Ibanez basses) is their resale value.
