ZenBasses
So I am still putting together a spec for a new bass and I am really hankering after a really lovely purple finish to adorn maybe a quilt or curly maple top (or something a bit more exotic) Not many good images around the web (guess it's a pain to photograph) There nearest I've found to something I like is a Calvin 'Purple Stain'.. They says it's a popular finish??? http://www.carvinmuseum.com/playersgallery/color-purplestain.html So show us your purple beauties? This is only gonna make my GAS Attack even more fierce )
iconic
Dingwall seem to make a lot of purple bass's, no idea why? Google their images. great choice of colour by the way!

Conan
I love purple. No, I really love purple!! I would love to get my Geddy Lee J refinished in a rich solid purple colour, but it is expensive as nobody seems to hold stocks of the paint! I remember a beautiful purple PJ bass changed hands on here a couple of years ago... I seem to recall that it was Zoe (Billy Sheehan) that got it... I was dead jealous!! In fact Jon is gonna be building my new bass for me. I already have a stupidly Glittery GB... But it's darn sexy, as far as I am aware the paint used on that bass was from America. Jon uses custom car paint for some of finishes. Very classy Keep them rolling peeps Purple Envy BigRedX that is 1 sweet and simple bass.. molan
I can't paste the pics from my phone but this black cherry metallic Alleva Coppolo has a nice purple hue to it in the right light: http://www.bassgear.co.uk/products-page/alleva-coppolo1/alleva-coppolo-kbp4-custom-black-cherry-metallic-burst-pre-owned/
ZenBasses
Interesting Molan I can defo say that the pictures looks like it's been photoshopped but never heard of this make
molan
I've played that bass a few times - it's not a photoshop job, in fact the photos don't really do the color justice. It's even nicer in the flesh! Jimmy Coppolo makes amazing basses based on classic vintage Fenders but without the foibles of an old Fender. Big money but used by lots of top US session pros - he sells everything he can make and has a long waiting list for anything new
Ninja_Baby
This has been on my radar for a while now! I'll own one some day!
Wooks79
Here you go then, Musicman Stingray, was my main bass since Dec 1999 till I started with the 5 string earlier this year - I love it so much that I tried to track down a 5 string in this colour on this forum, but the owner understandably didn't want to part with it... I still want one though. Feel free to offer it to me if you sell one anyone

Bass Lady
So glad I am not the only one looking for the illusive purple basses. Got a real attack of GAS and bought an Ibanez SR400QM recently to add to my purple Daisy Rock. Neither are what I'm really looking for but they are a start. Ninja Baby, that is an stunning bass. Please, what is it?

grunge666
I love Purple too, and I'm not ashamed! A P bass I've no longer got was purple body and dayglo green scratchplate. The best looking I've seen was a purple stain Spector; closely followed by Rob Zombie's bassists purple/silver burst P bass.
