I have been in the situation in an originals band that I left over royalty percentages I walked after recording the 1st album. My bass parts were re recorded by someone else and I didn't get a penny. Unfortunately, we did not sign up to a legal split so the singer, who wrote the lyrics and did sort things out in his favour, had the upper hand. Then again, they made nowt but that's not the point.
