What we have here is a Behringer Dynamics Compressor DC9. I've been using it mainly to get a more consistent output level from each string when playing live, and it does that job very well.

Simple to use, there's a level knob and a sensitivity knob (which controls the amount of squash), a stomp switch, and that's it. Cranked up about half way on the squeeze it smooths out your playing nicely but still leaves you some dynamics to play with. 9V battery or Boss-type mains adaptor DC 9 Volts (negative centre). And a very bright blue LED for some reason.

This was the first compressor I ever owned. Did the job beautifully even on my 6 string tuned ADGCFBb! Only sold it because I upgraded to the Aguilar TLC which cost 10x as much
