SOLD. Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine

Hi

I thought i would add a pic of the Mesa M6 amp sat on top of my Barefaced Compact and Midget T, just to let you know how good it looks together. Sounds great too.

I have a Mesa Boogie M6 carbine for sale or possible trade.

It's brand new condition, only used it twice since getting it.

I had the original mesa Boogie fathom version of the amp for about 2 years and the nice people at Mesa replaced it free of charge for this brand new M6.
They replaced it as some of the early Fathom's can develop over heating problems and they have since upgraded the new M6's to stop the problem.

During the transition i bought myself an Orange Terror Bass, and although it's not as versatile etc, it fits my requirements at the moment.

It is a standard 2u rackmount size, so fits any standard flight case.

It is 600 watts at 4 or 2 ohms and 320 at 8ohm.

Plenty of power for most venues, i used the old one at outdoor venues with my 2x12 Mesa powerhouse. I didn't need any PA support.

So price wise i am looking for £1050, cash or bank transfer only.

Maybe trade for a really nice bass of same value, like a music man classic or Rickenbacker etc.

I can ship as i have the original packaging.

Sorry about the dropbox pics, i can't seem to upload any to this page.

thanks for looking

I've always wanted to try a m6, have a bump from me as I have neither the cash or the basses to trade ( unless you wanted an ampeg SVT pro 4)

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not really looking for another amp at the moment.

How does this sound? I know this is a basic question!! I tried a 400+ and was very disappointed even though it is immense!! In terms of grunt

Hi
It has more grunt than you will ever need, 600 watts of real authoritive power.
You can dial in the 5 position mid selector to get a nice warm valve tone all the way up to a mega punchy driving tone. I liked the 400+, but I found it really muddy, it had loads of power but I used to get lost in the mix.

If you have any spare time, check out the TalkBass m6 mega thread, those guys love it.
