JTUK
Just been listening to some live Average White Band so got to say Alan Gorrie/Steve Ferrone, although on some tracks Gorrie and Hamish Stuart swap bass and guitar duties.
That is Ferrone for you..makes anyone sound good. Ditto Pocaro. Always had a soft spot for Micky Curry and T-Bone. Will Lee and Anton Figg Dennis C and just about anyone but Steely Dan and Tom Barney was a good match.

chrismuzz
I've never seen a bassist/drummer as in sync as these two are. VERY cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvoNgSQpLJ0
thumbo
Todd Trainer / Bob Weston really nail it live. There's something in the feel of how they play that makes me grin from ear to ear.

garry71
Watts and Wyman - really tight together. I think Wyman's "muddy" sound suited The Stones better than something more upfront. Neil Smith and Dennis Dunaway from early '70s Alice Cooper. One of the few bands where I'd listen to each member individually. Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth from Talking Heads. Warning Sign's my favourite, one of their simpler songs. Plus any drum/bass pair that Bowie used in the '70s.
