Superb instruments, really a pleasure to play, and they sound great. The Skylines are great value for money. But if you are looking for classic HB tones from the basses of yore you might be dissapointed. They sound more like a good solid body bass with a bit more air and supporting bottom than the quirkier classic basses that had very strong and particular personalities. For that you might look at the Kay or Harmony reissues instead.

Yeah, I don't care for 'burst either. Now a cherry red model would be a stunner

I love the colour, just looks..... Cheap somehow. Reminds me of the Joe Satriani guitar.

Bob Dylan's bass player used one of these and an upright when I went to see him, looked very comfortable and had a nice presence.
