Telebass Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Well, what a few weeks. Earlier in December, I had cataract surgery. The cataract was the result of earlier surgery to correct a major retinal dechment. However, I achieved a sort of reverse lottery win when, as a result of said cataract surgery, I had another, partial, retinal detachment. This means having to lay on my left side for 50 out 60 minutes for some days. Boring. BUT...it's also a good, uninterrupted time to spend that portion of my pension lump sum that I have allocated to music...So I have ordered: Fender Kingman SCE ABG, and case Markbass Little Mark III, and case Barfaced Super 15 I decided that another new solid bass woul be a waste of money - I'd never play it enough to justify the spend.(Sorry, Mr Green...) By the time it all starts to arrive, I'll be allowed to stand up again! Quote
discreet Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 WOW! That LM3 and BF S15 will rock serious ASS! ...and by the way, get well soon. Quote
gary mac Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Enjoy your big spend up and hope it helps relieve the boredom. Quote
Jimryan Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Retinal detachment? My brother had that when he was 16, not pleasant. Hope all gets sorted quickly. Quote
Telebass Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 Thanks for the good wishes, mch appreciated! Now just have to curb the impatience, especially for the cab! Quote
BassTractor Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Can relate to both your pain and joy. All the best, healthwise, and all the best, gearwise. PS Wouldn't have been this friendly if I hadn't got my BF order in before you. best, bert Quote
Telebass Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Oh, and whike I was at it, I got myself a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 "phablet", which is huge, but pretty phab! (Sorry...) Quote
BassTractor Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013
Nice! And plenty of flexibility!
Exactly. Also points out a clear way forward, I suppose, when I've tested them for some time. Congrats on the phablet. I'd like to try a thing like that. best, bert Quote
Telebass Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 And to top it off, I bought Andy Travis' 14lb Plexiglas Precision! At this point, some stuff will have to go... Quote
