Fionn
The subject of this topic is entirely subjective, to be sure. One persons dream bass is anothers nightmare. Aesthetically, most players would have a bass, or style of bass, that particularly floats their boat. But on the flip side, one which you find to be most gross to behold. What's the bass which makes you baulk?

tonyquipment
Yeah anything pointy. Same with the more than 4 strings comment. Might as well pick up a guitar or banjo if more than 4 string!!

stoker
Parker Fly's. Supposed to be amazing but I just don't like the look of them.
Fionn
The Rickenbacker 4001 is particularly hideous. Terrible lines, clutter, pointless binding, crude plastic and cheapy-looking chrome tat all over the place. They seem like an un-necessary condradiction to their undoubtable quality of build. Don't like the sound of them either. Appologies to Rick-lovers, but they are the crust that Satan scrapes from under his man-boobs.
Warwick SSI, those things are hideous....;-)
hahaha! aye, right enough Phil

Anything with LED's (that will do..............for now!)
alembic63
As much as I love Alembics, I hate this Bass.....sorry all Epic owners
Protium
That green relic'd one Warwick were advertising a month or so ago. Hideous.
Dr.Dave
Jaydees. Well made , versatile professional instruments but Lisa Riley to my eyes. In second place - an even better (many would say) bass. In fact they look great from the body end pin , through the bridge and pickups , way up the neck and then.......... ............. a hideous squared off canoe paddle instead of a head Sorry Wal owners
Roland Rock
Warwick Vampire and Dolphin. A couple of months ago I'd have said the Fodera AJ sig, but have warmed to its simplicity.

xgsjx
Novelty basses are the ugliest. Outside that, Fender's Jazz & P basses are let down by that hideous cyst of a top horn! I mean, look!.... OK, some folk might like it. But there's no accounting for taste! Edited January 6, 2013 by xgsjx
rogerstodge
That one that was for sale in the lefty bass section with 2 necks.. Reminds me of a vampire, you'd keep it in your shed
