dave_bass5 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Thanks but according to the rules you are supposed to post them here if you have them. I'll pass anyway. Not sure what the cost from Greece is but I expect it would take it out of my price range. Good luck with the sale.

Bassmachine Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 Any offers???? A japanese instrument which is very light.....3,2 kilos
Bassmachine Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Price drop to 450£…… a really old Japanese masterpiece......
casapete Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) Nice bass -do you think this may be a later version though? I believe the P-Lyte did n't appear until around 1988/89, so I think it may be from the period of transition from 'Made in Japan' to 'Crafted in Japan' around 1997, right at the end of this models production. Reason for this is I have a near identical P-Lyte, from 1997 with a V+6 digit serial number. As far as I know, the later P-Lytes were the only ones to have the darker 'tobacco' sunburst finish and chrome hardwear - earlier models had the lighter 'caramelburst' finish with gold hardwear. Also the earlier versions all had matching colour headstocks, whilst later ones had just plain.Towards the end of the P-Lyte's run, Fender seemed to use more generic parts - I've seen a few with original neckplates marked 'Made in USA' ! These are still very underated basses IMO, and for me the later ones were the best. Good luck with your sale! Edited January 23, 2013 by casapete
