joescartwright
I used to play a P bass with the Jamerson La Bella flatwound strings on and loved the tension of the strings as well as the sound. Last year a broke my wrist and have since changed to playing a short scale Fender Mustang bass because of the reduced flexibility, but I can't find any flat or tape wound strings that fit this bass and have anywhere near as much tension. Does anyone know of anything that might be worth trying to get better tension on a short scale bass with a through body only bridge? Thanks, Joe. Legion
A set of medium scale chromes will string thru bridge for a nice fit on a mustang. Not sure if the tension would be as much as you would like though? Tension is listed on their website here: http://www.daddario.com/DADProductDetail.Page?ActiveID=3769&ProductId=175&productname=ECB81M_Chromes_Bass__Light__45_100__Medium_Scale&sid=b85f7a10-1f49-4c16-ad10-2a7561653a96 Got a set from my old mustang somewhere if you want them for £12.
