Michael Currie
Good drummers are a special breed. If they can read music, they are worth their weight in gold. Here here!

Dad3353
Thanks a bunch, folks. Earl Grey, though, if you don't mind, with a twist of lemon. Very touching, my eyes are moist.
What about the ones who slow down when they play quietly and speed up when they play loud?
xgsjx
What about drummers in general? Despite there being an excellent drum shop here & several drum tutors, there's a lack of drummers!
lowdowner
I wonder if there's a similar thread on a drummer forum being all nice about bass players?
leschirons
Yes, a nice sentiment (but only because I've found one at last)
gelfin
Cheers to that. We have a choice of three drummers, all are excellent

JTUK
I wouldn't want to tell them that but I regard drummers as the second most important component of a band
BassTractor
I'll drink to drummers, like I always drank with them as well. In my mind, and I've said it before, they're the best lot the be around, the best lot to be stealing instruments with, and the best lot to give free middle of the night concerts with. One drawback only: not the best lot to return the instruments with. But that's all whisky under the bridge now. Cheers, drumbos!

Leen2112
Our drummer used to hold me down by sitting on my chest and hold my arms so I couldnt move then pretend to gob into my face.................bah!
MiltyG565
I'll down a pint in their name. I'll start off a good steady pace, then speed up around the middle, then slow down again near the end Just joking, some of my best friends are drummers. TO DRUMMERS!
Not greedy, just lucky in a way .Main drummer just turned 60 so not so keen on gigging much. 2nd is my son 19, taught mainly by main drummer. 3rd is always ready to step in if needed and only needs a quick run through of the set. All are excellent and great to play with.
