marcus bell
Might be buying a warwick streamer standard rockbass soon and like the idea of fitting a 2 band pre into it, need a few pointers How to do it? Which kit to buy? Thanks
LukeFRC
hmmm.... a bass with 3 holes yeah? you'll either need to drill another hole (not fun) or get the bass treble on a blend control. You buy the preamp and it will come with a wiring diagram - wire it up and add the ground and pickups to it and a wire the battery as it will show you. You'll need a stereo jack (3 lugs) but you possibly have that already. It's not too hard As to what one... who knows! Aguilar or Glockenklang make some ones that are around £100 new and nice, cheaper ones run from "brands" to the artec ones you find on ebay everywhere. And then you can spend more if you want! My new pre for my Warwick Streamer cost me £200, which was a bit over the top! Actually if not wanting to spend loads... why not try one of those stingray preamp clones? The fella on here who makes them could possibly sort you out with everything you need to slot right in if you ask nice (and pay)
