BigRedX Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 The neck looks like it's off a Woolies special. The rest of it? Who knows. Quote
Shockwave Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013
Looks like a stripped Kalamazoo.
Didnt think the Kalamazoos had that sort string bar on the headstock. Wrong scratchplate as well. Quote
mckendrick Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013
I think its a Jedson.
This. Great minds, Rick.... great minds. Quote
yorks5stringer Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Looks like a 55/45% wool blend to me...... Quote
evilLordJuju Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 definitely not a kalamazoo (see here http://www.vintageguitarandbass.com/kalamazoo/bass/KB.php) as they had old Gibson parts, and different body recesses under the scratchplate. These copy parts appeared on a number of different Japanese EB bass copies... I agree the neck might not be original to the body. Interesting to see a lefty EBO copy though. Quote
guyl Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013
left handed firewood??
Quote
Rick's Fine '52 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Pics, different bass models, but you get the idea..I'm pretty certain it's one of these, as referred earlier, just took me a while to find the evidence! They made very cheap copies of all kinds of basses, and there was little or no consistency between them, very roughly thrown together, absolute shocking instruments! Rick's Fine '52 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Oh, and they are japanese, from very late 60's, to late 70's. Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Looks like it will be awful to play and sound terrible, are we sure its not a real gibbo Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 This isn't what musicman20 has been waiting 7 months for is it? Quote

throwoff Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 How much Wayne? This is the kind of Junk bass I have been looking for! Quote
waynepunkdude Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 It's not a lefty the photo flipped on imageshack, I'm sorry Tom McShotstopper. Quote
throwoff Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Mighty puns. 4th in the league mate. I think my brother had a decent showing actually, he has not got much pace but his strength forced that number 10 out of the game all the time he was on. Nice as a sub to have some bulk. Quote
waynepunkdude Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Agreed he also listened if I asked him to take a man he did. Quote
