Donnyboy Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 You can't trust anyone it would seem.... I mean to say , I bought this quality leather (Aria) leather strap about 30 years ago , as I remember for a fiver, and was assured that it would last me a lifetime . Now look what's happened !!! Think I should seek compo? Quote
Raymondo Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Definitely........... He could use it to keep his trousers up Quote

stingrayPete1977 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I bought a leather stitching kit off ebay for some motorcycle trouser repairs, might be worth it as it looks like new other than the fact its in two? Quote
Jellyfish Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I see a Ukelele strap and a bit of leather, what's the problem? Quote

TheGreek Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 If you still have the receipt you can take it back and they'll either replace it or give you a refund.. Quote

Blademan_98 Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Only 30 years....... that is disgusting. Still, it probably out lasted the shop! Quote
flyfisher Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 It also probably outlasted the lifetime of the animal that used it first. Quote

Donnyboy Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 Shop doesn't exist - its now a takeaway! I think think the owner got some promotional stuff and flogged it to teenagers at a profit ! How's about that then! For the record , I've never had a deep fried mars bar ! What kiind of Scotsman am I? Anything else deep fried is ok ! Especially haggis , pizza, black pudding and fish ( no skin) and haddock of course. Quote
BassTractor Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Hehehe. Shop here had great warranties as long as you could produce the original receipt. What they didn't tell though was that the receipt was printed with ink that would disappear within half a year or a year. best, bert Edited January 8, 2013 by BassTractor Quote
