Roger2611 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Spotted this tonight, the photo appears to be the Rockbass Doublebuck, new £600ish this one little used for £1400 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/warwick-corvette-/160952875855?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item257989fb4f Quote
yorks5stringer Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) No expert but would'nt a Rockbass $$ say "Rockbass" on the headstock? Seems a huge price disparity otherwise? Edited January 10, 2013 by yorks5stringer Quote

throwoff Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Poor bugger. If it is not a scam he has probably spent the best part of 1800 notes on a new $$ with no clue the second hand market is how it is. Now he thinks he is offering it for a steal of £400 off for an as new bass. Quote
Stuee Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) Well I emailed him suggesting that the pictured bass was not a Warwick Corvette $$ & asking for pictures of the actual bass he's selling... He came back with this, "That definitely is a $$...exact model as the one that I'm selling...???" Right, so he's confirmed that what he's selling is the same as in the picture, which is a Rockbass Corvette $$, NOT a German one. But is he crooked or just ignorant? That is a $$ (albeit a Rockbass one). But it's listed and priced as a German Warwick. Hmmm... Here's the German one: http://www.warwick.de/modules/produkte/produkt.php?katID=22016&cl=EN Here's the Chinese one: http://www.warwick.de/modules/produkte/produkt.php?submenuID=17072&katID=22911&cl=EN Edited January 24, 2013 by Stuee Quote
jaydentaku Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) and now it is re-listed, cheaper, but not by much. jaydentaku Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 He responded: "The bass I'm selling is defo a Warwick corvette $$...German made..has all the owners manual and all the gubbins to go with..I put an online pic as was not at home..sorry for any inconvenience..congratulations on your wonderful eye sight..Thanks T" Quote

jaydentaku Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Well, my sarcasm sense definitely tingled. Quote
chrismuzz Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 What a pleb-end Oh well, at least he's put a real photo up! Quote
Stuee Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Definitely facetious. Well he should be genuinely grateful; he might actually stand a chance of selling it now he's got a picture of the correct model up there instead of one worth less than half as much! Quote
uncle psychosis Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 The mind boggles. "I know, I'll try and sell something for £1400 and just use a stock photo off the internet". Are these people nuts? Quote
throwoff Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Again, been jipped. Spent 1800 notes on that brand new, probably not a BC'er or TBer so has no idea you can get mint Wicks of all types for £600 notes second hand. Probably is honestly confused why noone is bidding when he has knocked £550 off what he paid! Quote
