^That^ is pretty much my dream bass. This year's model... not so much...

What confuses me is that the PJ configuration is so common elsewhere nowadays, but Fender just don't have it as a standard option. I missed out on the Late 90's/early 00's 'Hotrod' models and they've not come back since... :-(
