jackers Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013
To play on a 4 or 6 string? I've modified a tab I downloaded to suit my playing style which I'm happy to share out if anyone wants it (it's for a 6 string though)
I learnt it on my 6 string, but I have now sold it, so I only have my 4 string P-bass to learn it on. (Really regret selling my 6 ) Quote
charic Posted January 29, 2013 Author Posted January 29, 2013 There's a couple of versions of it on a 4 string but I prefer running through strings to going up the neck whenever possible which made it easier to what I found online Quote
jackers Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 awesome looks like I have a new project for the evenings after work, hehe. Quote
charic Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013
That's some challenge! How about Meshuggah - Bleed I don't know which is harder... the right hand technique or the timing!
I THINK (it's hard to tell at this speed) that I am playing most of it right now) but when it drops to the B (or more accurately A#) string I just can't play that kind of speed. I'm not sure what it is but whatever my bottom string is on my bass I just can't pick the same speed as the ones below. I think it may be something to do with the fact that I lightly rest my thumb on the string below (when not on the bottom string). I'm playing with a pick though Quote
