Paul S
Noticed today I am missing the blue light inside my GB Streamliner - bulb must have gone. Not exactly important but if it is easy and cheap I may as well stick a new one in 'cos it looks kinda perdy. Anyone had to do it yet? If so what do you get and from where? ta. Raggy
Contact Agedhorse over on Talkbass, he will point you in the right direction.
Paul S
Talkbass? Is that another internet forum type thing? Looks like I may have to. Thanks.
Alec
If GenzBenz really are using just a bulb for illumination, then that's just rubbish. Why on earth would you not use LEDs these days and so remove the need for replacement?

Paul S
Thanks for that! I will contact Genz Benz and see if they can point me in the direction of a replacement LED (not bulb- doh!) I bought it secondhand, so a warranty wouldn't apply. Thanks again.
garythebass
Depends if you got any paperwork with it - I believe the warranty is transferable.
Mace
Funnily enough, mine went last week too - called Mark at Bass Direct who will sort under warranty, just need to post it off
brensabre79
Genz Benz are pretty helpful, even if you're not the original owner. If you do go over to Talkbass the aforementioned Agedhorse works at GenzBenz on designing and testing their products, so he will be pretty knowledgeable! Paul S
Development - I just spoke to a gentleman named Matt at the GenzBenz service desk and he is going to send me one, gratis! Superb service.

Graham
Let us know how you get on changing it - wouldn't mind changing mine, though it's an intermittent fault it has so may not be the same issue.
Musicman20
Yep, if its Matt at Fender UK, he is very helpful, as is Genz as a whole.

Paul S
Time to report back. Superfast service from Matt at GB/Fender, 3 x LEDs arrived yesterday. Unfortunately I fell at the first hurdle - just opened up to see what was required and the old ones need de-soldering to remove and new ones soldering back in place. Beyond my shaky hands and limited soldering skills. I will pass it on to a mate who does soldering more than I do. Not sure exactly what is going on, though? Would all 3 fail if one failed? Plus they all seemed to glow blue very slightly when switched on but not enough to illuminate the inside. I am sure someone who knows what they are doing would be able to sort it out, anway. 4 Strings
I suppose if they are in series one link in the chain will mean a break for all.
