the freq box sucks, big time, i was so gutted when i tried it last week, from what iv heard about it i was really quite excited, but god it was awful, passive/active/3 different amps, sounded sh*te on pretty much all settings

ring mod if like to try, but iv kinda lost interest in moogerfoogers after that dissapointment

Did you try it through a low-pass filter to round off the corners off a bit? I think it's a really nice-sounding osc. Not sure if it's useful enough to justify £200 though.

Low pass filter is great, I'd have another tomorrow if I could find one used, just need to put it in a loop cos it sucks tone baaaad, are the others the same?

Tone suck is unreal, but the effects are great.

There were some really nice clips of the Freqbox over at talkbass, to give you an idea of the range of sounds.

i couldnt get close to any of them really, maybe it was faulty, sounded good on low notes, very synthy, but high notes just decayed really quickly, and horribly

The Low Pass Filer is amazing. If you get an expression pedal it's just even better. Add a fuzz to that and you have a great controllable synth.
