AAh I saw this late last night but too late to phone then. I phoned this morning and snagged it as it was only 15 mins away. A bit tatty with rusty strings and a pot is noisy when turned up but it plays really nicely, great balance and sounds sweet. Someone scratched the name of so I post pictures for an ident when I get a chance.

Indeed it is.

It isn't as tidy as the pic implies. It is filthy and more battered, some fret wear, a noisy pot, a bit of rust here and there but.......
It plays well and sounds nice and will look better after a polish..£45 has to be a bargain.

I'm either going to keep it to play in my lunch break or may give it to a friends son if he wants it..

Can you make out the old logo on the headstock? It's certainly a Matsumoku made bass but Aria weren't the only ones to source their instruments from Mat.

Nope, someone has done a good job of removing the logo.

That's a bit of a shame, as without it you'll never ID the brand it was originally sold under. Not that it makes too much difference really - it's a Matsumoku made bass, which is a good thing.
