Can anybody recommend a nice combo that has xlr di out

I need to use it as a practise amp AND a monitor.

Even if you cannot recommend one, can you let me know what to steer clear of.

£200 tops.

Thanks.

Have heard good things about the Hartke A70. Has all the kit for practice and is kick-back style too. Plus you'll have enough change from your £200 for a pot noodle and a can of Special Brew!

Thanks for that.

What kind of heathen do you think I am with Pot Noodle and Special Brew?

You have Tennents Super with Pot Noodle and Special Brew with Pizza. Tsk.

just saw this on thomann

looks like a halfway house between the electric blue and the mag range, plenty o volume and the di that you want and under 200 as it has 40% off, nice

The Line 6 Lowdown Studio 110 is another potential candidate. Very compact with a 10" speaker, has both line out and DI outputs with ground lift and chucks out 75 watts.

I'm still very happy with mine, though they're not everyone's "cup of tea", so I recommend you try before you buy.

Personally you cant go wrong with either the Hartke A70 or the Line6 Studio. Ive played through both and liked them, however every Ashdown amp ive played through has left me wanting to cry as they always sounded terrible to my ears.

Still, horses for courses!

the crate bt50 at £149 is a steal and its bigger brother the bt100 ast £240 (soundcontrol) are worth considering.

I had a bt50 - it was a powerful little box, good tone and punched way above its weight! apparently crate are a subsiduary of ampeg?

I was told this by an ampeg distributor so it must be true!!

Thanks all for your replies. I am going to go for a used Roland Bass cube 100w.

I use a Thomann 'thebox' monitor for playing my drum machine thru. and also practice thru the Boss micro.....

Mine is 2x5" and is very clear sound... Thomann do much bigger ones and they seem really good value.....
