Clarky72 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 So, I need a luthier who can mod my Geddy Lee Jazz and fit a P pickup in place of the neck J pickup. I have the pickups ready and I'll need a replacement bwb scratchplate made to fit it too (although I might ask bassdoc to make that). Anyone know of someone good nearby? Quote
Hobbayne Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Stuart from Peter Cooks In Hanwell West London will sort that out for ya! Quote
Sibob Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Stuart is a great guy, I know him very well. But for this, I'd be more inclined to go to Andy Viccars in MK. Si Quote
chris_b Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 There's also Chandler Guitars at Kew and Charlie Chandler at Hampton Wick. Quote

[/quote] Second shout out for Chandler Guitars at Kew. Does a great job with all my work and is very reasonable. Ask for Andy. Also, local resident parking control finishes after 12pm so good time to go in the afternoon:) Edited January 17, 2013 by Floyd Pepper Quote
fretmeister Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Paul_C of this very forum is not far in Northants. One of his own builds is on sale in the classifieds - so you can have a look at the quality. He looks after all my basses and has done pickup installations between existing ones for me (Squeezing a P between a pair of J on my Status) Quote
