There is a thread that was created to be a photo journal of the the relay, that would be the best place to focus the images of its journey I would have thought . ;)

I thought you were off to bed an hour ago :P

I thought I would just remind everyone of the availability of a thread for the posting of pics before there are a dozen 'official' photo hosting opportunities ;)

Eh, not a great success, fund raising wise. The total remains the same.

Where were you playing..? Scotland, huh..? Oh, I see...

...and to be fairer, it was simply for the joke. I don't really subscribe to these supposed national traits (except for the French, of course; they really are as they're made out to be..! :P ).

True but to be fair , given the audience barely reached double figures, they weren't asked.

Ah well. Don`t say I didn`t warn you Donny :D

Well, after its holiday in sunny Falkirk ( don't say ' ...isn't that THE place where the sun don't shine!' ... otherwise Donny will be after ye !) , Jim's bass is this week back on its way back to Derbyshire.

Ok so the bass is now on its way back in Derbyshire ! Looking for the next bass player to carry the batten in the Relay. Its really easy as a concept, you just pick up the bass, do a gig and have a whip round for Cancer Research and then pass the bass on to the next person. Its that easy!

Great that Quo's bass player Rhino Edwards got involved a week or so ago at Falkirk Stadium , he is apparently having words with Pino to get involved !!

I am doing my bit on Saturday at Proms in the Garden event at Haddon Hall ( what a contrast to Falkirk ) and the bass is in Derbyshire ready for the next leg of the relay from 14th July onwards . Have got to say that I have really enjoyed meeting fellow bassists and sharing the experience - feels really great to be involved and be raising funds for such a great cause !

If everyone on Bass Chat chipped in just £1 ...that would make a lot of money ! Simple challenge :- click to a different thread now or click on the Just Giving link below and donate £1.

Theres a Map of Honour which tracks where the bass has been and its journey plus Facebook , and Twitter feeds ( see the links below). If nothing else help spread the good word !

Shared onto out Twitter page. It's going well! Good luck on Saturday, Peter :) Proms in the Garden, eh? Sounds lovely! Very different from a Status Quo gig or pub covers gig. Let us know how it goes :)

We had an inquiry over Facebook for the 27th july in Kent, I think it was. That was from Steve Clutton.

for the record the sun is shining here in Falkirk, actually true.

just a thought but if the Relay threads were pinned would that help raise awareness / involvement?

The BC bass relay has been on local radio over the passed couple of days and tonight's event at Haddon Hall Derbyshire is completely sold out - just got to rattle the tins tonight !
