Haha, if only, instead of an exotic tour of the world it'll be working hard in East London

For people in Glasgow, the bass will be in Audio on the 18th of December and it's only 3 quid to get in if you wish to come along and laugh at me getting confused by simple basslines as well as 3 people who actually know how to play the thing!

There's also a good bit of interest from others in Scotland - stroll on!

Yep, all happened at Highway Church Christmas bash, great fun gig, great turn out and collected £185.93 (A very generous lot at Highway Church in East London. Remember the story of the widow's mite?

Pics of the gig will come when I get them!

Now to pack it up for it's journey North of the border. (Maybe I'll get a pic shaking hands with the courier!)

...well, I chickened out. He seemed to be in such a hurry!

Anyway, it's all been packed up, taken by man with a big lorry and on it's way up North.

Pic of it in action, not terribly good one of me, the bass or the band, hopefully a better one will turn up. (Also, playing a song that had any artistic dignity we may have had poured away!)

Let me know if you can work out how the knobs work!

I can't, I tried but passive systems confuse the buggery out of me

Handover between a couple of handsome young fellas Cameronj279 and Donnyboy last night in Glasgow.

Estimates are that about 15 bass players used The Bass ( I lost count and missed some , including Cameron using it - bloody traffic/weather/my poor driving etc). This was at Glasgow Kelvin College's end of term do, and good on them for using The Baton, and good on Cameron for getting them to do it.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ...the "two handsome young fellows" in the photo and the order of the names is not necessarily in the correct order  :D

Great job guys!

Handsome Young Man Alert!!

This could well have been my last ever gig! ( Hope not though)

Good night - spoiled a bit by an over zealous " Security Executive" who stopped my volunteer from collecting with the tin , despite my having approval from the owner and bar manager. Anyhow , sorted that out and then prostituted ourselves by getting donations to play requests ( £20 for Sweet Home Alabama! £5 for Rock 'n'Roll damnation , £10 for a pic with band ).

The Relay bass sounded good with a bit of grunt.

Who's next?

Who's next is not one but two , mcnach and Beer of the Bass at this event in Edinburgh this Friday 3rd January

Yep, they haven't finalised the stage times yet, but it looks like I'm playing with Jen and the Gents earlier in the evening and McNach is playing with Seabass Kid at around midnight. So, for anyone in Edinburgh, why not come along for the whole evening and catch us both!
