Johnebass
This classic 2 band Musicman Stingray is in full working order and has been used regularily for most of its life, however for the past few months my Stingray 5 has been my favourite so this one has to go. I'm generally having a clear out so my old Jap Jazz and ABM500RC will also be posted, so anyone wanting a deal keep your eyes open. The serial number is 29485 which dates the bass somewhere between 1989/90 and the body has some dings on it which you would expect from a 17/18 year old bass. The neck is laquered although it is well worn and most of it has worn off or down, which I feel makes it play better. I have taken some pictures and tried to show all of the marks but if anyone wants any more or would like to try the bass let me know and I will try to arrange something. They say that guitars sound better by age and this is certainly true with this one, deep, rich and with tons of punch, the sound is typical stingray..............................what more can I say? All on the bass, as far as I know, is original except the scratchplate which was changed a few years ago. I am asking a fair £650 and am willing to be flexible with delivery. nig
Just a little thing I noticed whilst lusting at the piccys, it has a bullet truss rod adjuster neck and the latter scratch plate to accomodate the newer bottom adjuster truss rod, but all the same, beautiful. mathewsanchez
That would be beautiful with a white or clear pickguard. I might be interested, the thing is i'm trying to buy a ray off my mate but he doesn't want to sell until he's found a bass to replace it. If he doesn't come up with it soon I might have to make you an offer .
