Personally, my favourite bassist is Minei Makkatsu (Mackaz)
There's not much on Youtube of his playing aside from in bands, except for the beginning of this video:

Rory O'Grady from Boomin. That's probably not the best example of them, but it's the one that shows off his bass part to that song best (Which is insanely fun to play)

Chris Childs. Probably best known for playing with Thunder, but it was his playing with Home Counties pub favourites Bad Influence (not with them now BTW) that used to blow me away. Nice bloke too.

I regulaly wonder about that too ! He played on a Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads) solo album I seem to remember and then disappeared . He was/is a brilliant player who was an integral part of Bowies best ever backing band and his best albums , in my opinion .

Often wondered the same thing. Has anybody heard the Weldon Irvine albums that he is on?
