thepurpleblob Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Some farewell tour.... that's going to be a weird one. Nevertheless, hoping I can get tickets. Quote
flyfisher Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I'm not entirely sure I'd like to go and watch someone knowing they'll likely not be alive next year. :-( Quote
risingson Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 What an amazing way to go out, I'll be trying for tickets with my dad I reckon. Quote
Lozz196 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013
I'm not entirely sure I'd like to go and watch someone knowing they'll likely not be alive next year. :-(
Yes, those are my thoughts, but also, although I like his stuff, I`m not a major fan and probably wouldn`t have been going to see him on any other tour - unless he was supporting someone that I was into, like The Stranglers a couple of years ago - so I`m not going to go to this one, just because he`s dying. I`ll leave the tickets to those that are really into his work. Quote

PaulWarning Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) not a farewell tour then, for the best possible reason http://www.bbc.co.uk...t-arts-29727632 Edited October 22, 2014 by PaulWarning Quote

UglyDog Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 They need to find out exactly what Wilko is made of and use it for making tanks and battleships, because it's obviously indestructible. Quote
fumps Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Saw him at last years Bingley festival & me & my son danced to his energy. I'm so glad that's not the last time I will see him. I'm well chuffed for him & his family Quote
Lord Sausage Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I'd demand my money back, false advertising! Seriously tho, good news! Quote

bassbiscuits Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Astonishing isn't it? Fair play to that man - what an extraordinary story. I only hope that he's correct and the cancer doesn't return etc. As for now it's certainly an outcome none of us expected. Amazing! Quote
