timmchale2009 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I've got a Fender Bassman Pro 400 and tbh the covering has seen better days. The cats have clawed it, it's been caught moving it in out of the house etc etc etc. So really I want to re-cover it or have it tolexed in purple to make it look a little different. But I have one issue... I haven't got the time to do it myself at the moment and I was wondering if anyone knew of someone is the Chester/North Wales area that does these things and perhaps an idea of cost? Quote
thunderider Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 pull the tollex of and paint it!! tollex is really expensive about £14 a meter on ebay!! Quote
Truckstop Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Eh?! Do it yourself! Buy some really cheap black tolex and practice on something, then buy the purple that you want and do it properly! It's not hard really, just make sure you dont end up with any joins on the edges andmale sure that you have a metal rule, a large flat area to work on and a sharp stanley blade. Even if you have to try a few times it'll still cost less in parts than pay someone else to do it for you. Truckstop Quote
6v6 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 You could speak to zilla cabs: http://www.zillacabs.com/recovering.php I saw his stuff at the NEC a few years ago and it looked really good Quote
