mhuk
Bach do cheap, good basses and delivery is quick. Their websites are http://www.bachmusik.com/en/, http://www.bachguitars.de/ and also on ebay.de
MythSte
how much is shipping from that bach place?! Does that marcus miller copy seriously work out under 200 quid?!
mhuk
I think shipping is 28 euros but I'm not sure if the German and Czech sites are the same. Send them a PM via the Bach thread- the MD posted there.
MythSte
If so that would be a brilliant little modding machine, Hell, it might even sound alright on its own, theres a chance!

d-basser
Out of them I have only tried the Peavey and the Ibby and I would say go for the Peavey, not that the Ibanez is a bad instrument, I am just a Peavey whore
Oxblood
Don't want to spoil the party, folks, but how did this thread end up in the Reviews section? Shouldn't it be in "Bass Guitars"?
The Burpster
Had the Yamaha, and played the Ibanez.... both are excellent value for the money. Can't vouch for the others, so wont comment.... I agree about our local shops.... pile of poo!

paul, the
To be honest, they all seem really soulless to me. It's like the companies have inadvertently performed a catch-22. They're trying to appeal to a wide audience with a simple design, but in doing so, the basses don't have enough character to appeal to anyone. Sorry if I sound a grump. If you like the Ibanez, get an Aria Pro II second hand. Try out a few basses and wait until you fall in love with one. The Funk
My guitarist just got one of these. Having tried it out, my thoughts were: looks good, sounds good, plays well and is great value for money. They also do a decent looking Stingray copy. Musky
Quality bass for less than £100? Try one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aria-Pro-II-RS-The-C...1QQcmdZViewItem Unlike the others you're considering, you can be pretty sure this will be worth more than you paid for it in a few years. Rocket
Got to agree with an Aria. I used one many years ago (pro II) and still wish I'd kept it. Stu
wizbat
If you are going to buy off the bay try this, it ends soon and will probably be a bargain looking at how much it is now! I've got a Magna 5 & I'd regard it as a fairly good starter instrument, but I'm selling it & would never buy another. The difference between Korean construction & the output of the Matsumoku factory is quite stark when you put them next to each other. My money would point towards the CAT - even with the missing bridge saddle (looks to be a Fender clone, so replacement shouldn't be a prob). If the neck is anything like my RSB Special, it'll be staggeringly quick & quite a lightweight beast. Pete
