wateroftyne
What's wrong with you people?? Why are the classified pages bursting with more lovely gear than usual? I have a small collection of lovely basses and amps that are very dear to my heart, yet everywhere I turn there's lovely CS and vintage Jazzes, peculiar CS Precisions, Deluxe P's, Vanderkley cabs, Mesa stuff... what's going on? The temptation to sell most of my stuff and replace it just for the sake of it is overwhelming. Get behind me, Satan! *dons GAS-proof suit* Edited January 20, 2013 by wateroftyne

Silvia Bluejay
That, and NAMM is approaching, with all those shiny new models of everything being introduced to the eagerly awaiting market... Being a lefty saves me from some GAS, but not enough to stop my credit card itching.

leroydiamond
Thats the thing about GAS. You can end up replacing your stuff for the hell of it, only to find out that the gear you have just sold/traded was doing a better job than the new toys. wateroftyne
...I forgot to mention that 'Burst'n'Blocks Overwater J too, which I know won't be my cup of tea sonically, but MY GOD IT'S A STUNNER.

Platypus
Have to agree with WoT, there is a shedload of tasty bass gear appearing in the for sale forum atm.
cloudburst
I had actually been thinking that there was very little that interested me in the classifieds in the last couple of weeks. Just goes to show how different all of our tastes are. CB
Dood
Hi, my name is Dood and.. I ... I... You'll have to bear with me... ok, I can do this... I am Dood and I am a G.A.S-oholic
Kiwi
[size=4][sup]I'm not into Fenders in a big way so haven't seen anything yet that I'd buy...I did feel weak at the Wal 5 with shedua facings recently though and mulled over getting another Mesa Boogie Bass400+. However, I have GAS fair and square for the Industrial Radio MIDI bass that Big Red mentioned recently. First time I've had GAS since I bought the Spector NS5 6 years ago. However that bass would effectively make the MIDI pre on my Shuker redundant.[/sup] [sup]BTW, I believe the recession will officially end this year too, I'm picking up all sorts of clues in the UK at the moment. Local authority workloads are creeping up in my sector of the market along more business development and graduate jobs advertised in the private sector too.[/sup][/size]
molan
It is entirely possible that my personal stash of basses will have grown by a Roscoe SKB, another Ritter Cora and a Celinder J Update this month, distinctly likely to be an Alleva Coppolo LG4 in there as well and I'm still drooling over a couple of things in the classifieds! Better put a bit more effort into selling something. . .

iconic
I was thinking the same myself, some lovely stuff up for grabs at the moment, low end to high end...hmmm
Norm
Yep, there is loads of tasty goods, a lot of bargains too. But it is at a time when I've got zero funds myself. It is agony! Trying to sell some of my surplus gear just to be able to grab one of these bargains, madness!
Norris
I was thinking of putting up a feeler thread for my US Jazz, but there are so many nice basses up at the moment it would get swamped. Plus, I'd never get what I wanted for it at the moment

My vague theory was that people didn't get what they wanted for Xmas so were buying themselves little presents
