henry norton
Looks really good. 51 Tele's don't look right unless they're a bit reliced

BandmasterPete
There is a huge different between a single coil and dual coil p-bass. The single coil is more twangy and clear then the dual coil that is more boomy and has a more low end sound.
yepmop
Will be looking at this with interest over the coming weeks/months. The decal is the worst part for me so easy to screw up. Are you going to be re-spraying the body or stripping it down to bear wood?
BandmasterPete
I bought some 3k och 2.5k grit paper to use with the decal. I think I'm going to use some kind of lauqer instead of tru-oil.
BandmasterPete
Printed two copies of the logo. One to colour and one for apply over. Used a silver metallicpencil to fill the logo. I've wet sand the head with 2k grit to level out any ruggedness. Applied both decals on the head, the coloured logo first then the other logo. Now its time to apply nitro laquer. BandmasterPete
Have applied 4 layer of lacquer. I did some 3k wet sanding and did some black touch up on the logo.
rubis
That logo looks fantastic Pete I am going to have a go at doing one and would appreciate some info/advice Exactly what paper did you use, I've seen clear and white, I assume clear is best, but is there a particular kind? Did you use a Sharpie for the silver? I've seen a method where you soak the decal, flip it over then paint the rear before applying it but your method looks much better Lovely bass too Harry

I also had my 1 year old son running around my legs and climbing on the table when I applied the decals, it was a bit thrilling.
