warwickhunt Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 ...but please, please, please DON'T contact the seller first! I'm sure this guy is running scams but either way it really p*sses me off when sellers demand that you contact them first (because they want to do a deal off ebay... IF they have the item) before placing a bid; Sorry but that isn't how ebay works, I don't have to do any such thing! Quote
warwickhunt Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Don't bid too much as it'll be nice if it were to go up in small amounts with many people! Quote

bagsieblue Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 What's the thinking behind this then - are they trying to sell this as a £1200 BIN (with no pics!) without having to pay a BIN listing / insertion fee? Quote
warwickhunt Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 If he had a genuine 66 Jazz available @ £1200 he'd be a chuffin mug selling at that. However, he is either selling a dodgy one or really wants significantly more but wants to tell a buyer in person; either way there is a rabbit away somewhere and he can't force buyers to contact him before bidding. Roger2611 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 This moron has been listing shed loads of expenive gear every other day, dead easy to spot as they are all either free postage or £6 odd, all pictures have a different background, it's clearly a scam, I am not sure whether he is hijacking other accounts but if you look at the other items for sale from the same seller it looks like there are genuine items in there as well, everytime he lists them I pick the first 4 report them all to ebay as fruadulent listings and ebay pull all the listings it just seems a shame they can't close the moron down alltogether Quote
warwickhunt Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 Yes I've spotted many similar listings and reported them but I've not tracked to see if they are from different sellers, is it the same account or different ones? I figured I'd have some fun and bid on this, possibly even winning it! Quote
Roger2611 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I have resisted the temptation to bid just incase the moron is cleverer than he appears, he seems to be able to hijack accounts at will so I don't want to give him any chance of getting my details, I have to admit I have been tempted to send him a message saying hey it's me again, you keep listing em and i'll keep reporting them Quote
BassBunny Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 And it's been removed. What a surprise. Quote
