am playing a squier P Bass - which although is not great sounds fine....EXCEPT,, i can't get rid of a frett buzz when i play the lowest F note,,, i have tried raising the action and it hasn't worked... anyone have any suggestions...PLEASE!!

Sounds like you need to loosen the [url="http://www.garywillis.com/pages/bass/bassmanual/relief4.html"]truss rod[/url]. Or you might have a raised fret somewhere. Worst case - new neck.

If loosening the truss rod doesn't work, it might need a fret-stoning - particularly if you're only getting buzz on one note on one string.

Hopefully you don't have a warped neck - though I'm sure you'd be getting more buzzing if this was the case.

Your frets might need leveling out or, as once happened to me, you might have an unevenly wound string. Do you get the buzz when you change strings?
