EssentialTension
Not actually white but clear. 760T White Nylon Tape Wound, Standard 60-115 As the originators of the Black Nylon Tape Wound bass set, La Bella introduces the 760T set. Unlike the classic 760N set, the White Nylon Tape Wound 760T set is made with a transparent nylon wrapped over stainless steel underlays. The result is a brighter and even smoother finish, allowing players to effortlessly glide from note to note. The 760T set is extremely versatile and can be used for electric, fretless and acoustic basses. Available for purchase at your favorite online retailer, local store and La Bella dealer! Tankdave
It's a step in the right direction but how about some "actual" coloured ones then LaBella? Bagsy the first rainbow set.
franzbassist
I have a set for my Veillette incoming in a couple of weeks. Eric at La Bella says tension is the same as the black nylons, but the whites are "faster" and "brighter". I'll do an A/B recording and will report back
EssentialTension
Are they coming to you direct from La Bella?
franzbassist
Yes, they are a custom length so need to be a special order.
EssentialTension
OK, let us know how they are. I might try them on my Takamine B10 which also needs order direct from La Bella.

I got them direct from La Bella last time.
franzbassist
Would a string the same length as the ones I need do for you? If so, I could ask them to run off an extra E string and package up a third set (with the other three at regular length) for you? Where is the 38.75" measurement? Is it silk to silk? Ball-end to silk?

EssentialTension
That sounds on the long side. The 760N-XL is only 37.75" and silk is close to the tuner.

dannybuoy
They're working on making a version of these strings for the Kala U-Bass and slightly longer scale Gold Tone Microbass too! http://facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=599411316794481&id=127487373986880&set=a.143713709030913.30725.127487373986880
franzbassist
Just popped a set of these on my new Tony Franklin fretless. I've used the black nylon versions for ages, but the white ones are really nice too.
franzbassist
And now just put a lighter gauge set on my fretted P bass. Really nice, low tension, and great tone.
fretmeister
I really like them too I had them on a fretless which I sold (should have kept the strings!) and they have a lovely deep fundamental tone. I will get more!
