It's a step in the right direction but how about some "actual" coloured ones then LaBella? Bagsy the first rainbow set.

I have a set for my Veillette incoming in a couple of weeks. Eric at La Bella says tension is the same as the black nylons, but the whites are "faster" and "brighter".

I'll do an A/B recording and will report back

What length do you need? My Veillette sets will be 38.75" long.

A-D-G are standard long scale but the E string needs the extra long version which, even for the 760N black ones, are difficult to find in Europe. I got them direct from La Bella last time.

Would a string the same length as the ones I need do for you? If so, I could ask them to run off an extra E string and package up a third set (with the other three at regular length) for you?

Hang on, I'll have to measure it. Where is the 38.75" measurement? Is it silk to silk? Ball-end to silk?

That sounds on the long side. The 760N-XL is only 37.75" and silk is close to the tuner.

They're working on making a version of these strings for the Kala U-Bass and slightly longer scale Gold Tone Microbass too!

Just popped a set of these on my new Tony Franklin fretless. I've used the black nylon versions for ages, but the white ones are really nice too.

And now just put a lighter gauge set on my fretted P bass. Really nice, low tension, and great tone.

I had them on a fretless which I sold (should have kept the strings!) and they have a lovely deep fundamental tone. I will get more!
