Interface Trouble - Focusrite Saffire 6 USB

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, just built a new PC and am having trouble installing my Focusrite Saffire 6 USB onto it. Previously, I just had it hooked up via USB so I could use my monitors for PC speakers. It worked great, but now having tried installing it onto my new PC, nothing seems to happen! I've followed the instructions carefully and tried both the up to date drivers and the ones that came on the CD but nothing seems to be working. The main issue seems to be that the drivers are installing fine, but when I go to the Control Panel to make it a default sound device, it doesn't show up anywhere. I've no idea why and after re-installing the drivers so many times I feel a bit lost! Help! :( (Please :))

When I first installed my Edirol UA5 I had problems with it interfering with the PC's internal sound card. Long story short, it was necessary to disable the PC's sound card first, then install the audio interface. It has been working fine for years now. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help, both of you. Unfortuantely the problem was me funnily enough... I just forgot to unplug the interface before trying to install the drivers...
