DarkHeart
I must be really unlucky when it comes to amps, i bought a Berhinger last year practiced with it once and it never worked again, today i practiced with a new band for the first time since buying a second hand Ashdown EB180 which worked when i bought it and worked when i got it home but i practice through a smaller combo in the house so its been stood 2 months, plugged it in at the rehearsal rooms switched it on and..........nothing, tried a different socket.still nothing tried a different power lead.......you get the picture. Its not the fuse as ive checked it its really hacked me off, does anyone know anywhere in the north east that fixes amps? i really dont want to fork out another few hundred quid for another one
Protium
I know you've mentioned checking fuses, does this include the internal ones? Sometimes the time delay ones blow with normal use.
DarkHeart
ive checked the one thats located in the power socket, are there more?
xgsjx
Usually there's a plastic screw-in fuse holder on the back of most amps.
DarkHeart
nothing on the Ashdown, isnt that the one thats now located at the power socket?
Protium
Where the power socket plugs into the amp, is there a holder below that? You might need a flat screwdriver to prise it out. Something that looks like this:

Musky
There's a couple of internal fuses mounted on the PCB. Clearly visible in the top picture.
Protium
yep thats the one ive tried.
Was it a glass fuse and tested OK? Next step is to check the power board (see above), but stay away from the big capacitors!
