BassBunny Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013
I'd love to try one of those... What's it like in use?
Awesome. Very clear and articulate, quite HiFi really, but with loads of bottom end. If you back off the mid and horn you can get a really nice "creamy" bass tone out of it. I tend to leave the Mid/High attenuators in the 12 o' clock position and just tweak the amp for the surrounding acoustics. I really cuts through the mix and is built like a tank. Certainly sorted out my Cab GAS. Quote
I am a great believer in you get what you pay for and frankly I do not think the EAD is overpriced. The design and build of it is better than any commercially available cab I have come across, and that is quite a few a lot of which were more expensive than the EAD and not half as well made. Quote
icastle Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 A Warwick 210, a Warwick 115 and a Hartke 410 - I have a 'pick n mix' approach depending on what I'm doing at the time. Quote
thebassman Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Mesa boogie powerhouse 2x12, sounds great with my M6 or Bass terror. Cheers Thebassman Edited January 30, 2013 by thebassman Quote
JTUK Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 2x112 or 2x210 depending on the gig. Far prefer the 2x210's but the 2x112's are a nice carry with a decent stage footprint. Quote
Kirky Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 One or two Barefaced Compacts. Usually one. Quote
Badass Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) Wow way more 2 x 12 than I thought seem to be in use, and that's one cab I've never tried. All the others I have used either alone or in some combination. Edited January 31, 2013 by Badass Quote
MartyBRebelMC Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 2 X 12 cab here plus 1X10 for practice Quote
spike Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 After using a single 1x15 for years I changed to two Aguilar GS112's last year Quote

krysh Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I would love to play more gigs where I'd need more than my 1x12". But I don't see I'd ever need more cabs. Quote

Dood Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I've selected three: 4x10 stand alone, Two 4x10 (I selected 8x10) as a 'big rig'. 2x12 neo for smaller gigs. Quote
